Introduction
Hey Guys, I´m Patrick from Alpine Ice Freestyle and this is my official Website. It’s great that you found your way here so let me tell you something about Alpine Ice Freestyle.
About Me
I was born in 1993 in Berchtesgaden. Currently, I work in a Hotel and I am also a professional Skiing Instructor during the Winter.
During the summer, I play Football as a Goalkeper in one of the highest leagues of the County and currently rank number one Goalkeeper for my team.
Do I do Inline Skating? No! It’s just not my thing. I use all my energy in the summer for football and if I have some time left, I enjoy Splash- and Cliff-diving
Skating for me is a winter sport and because of football, I normally have less than two and a half months per season to fully concentrate on it.
About Ice-skating:
My first time on ice skates was in 1996. I was 2 Years old. I tried Hockey but found that it was not my sport.
So what about Figure-skating? Not at all. Don;t get me wrong. I am not knocking it – It’s just not for me. I love the freedom of ice-skating and what can be done on the ice as a Freestyler.
About Freestyle Ice-skating:
I have always been more than an average skater.
In 2010, I was searching for something different on the ice. Something else that the existing ice sports did not have.
I started to experiment and developed my first freestyle tricks. It then started to grow.
I know that freestyle already existed during this time but in those days, I had never heard about it.
In the early summer of 2011, I watched ‘Freestyle Ice Skating’ by Nagyerdei Korisok for the first time. What he did was very similar to what I tried on the ice. From this day I knew that I was Freestyle Ice Skater.
I kept improving my style and setup my YouTube Channel in December 2013 together with my friend Benedikt.
We had a great time as Frestyle Ice Skater and creating videos until 2015.
Our lives unfortunately moved in different directions. However, I kept the YouTube Channel but had no time for it due to sadly losing my father in late 2015. This created personal issues which stopped me for a while.
In 2016, I renamed my Brand to IceFreestyle39, but that was just for one Season. In Summer 2017, a new Patriotic idea for a name came to mind.
As I was born and live in the Alps which is my home town, I decided to change my brand name to ‘Alpine Ice Freestyle’. I started an Instagram Channel, travelled across Europe and had a great time – but something was missing.
So, in summer 2018, I decided to start making videos again – now completely on my own.
In October 2018, I uploaded my first solo Project ‘My Story’ and from then on creates and uploaded regularly.
My passion is not just Freestyle Ice-skating but also making videos for my YouTube channel.
Many Freestyle Ice Skaters are making videos but there was never a real YouTuber in this sport.
It is important for me that as a YouTuber, I upload at least weekly, mostly even more often and during the whole year. A YouTuber should display every aspect and every genre of videos possible on their channel – Not just creating video and tutorials. I decided that I want to be the first real Freestyle Ice Skating YouTuber, and that’s exactly what I did.
So far I am on a good schedule with uploading twice a week during the main season and regularly during the summer.
I have brought some new ideas into the world of Fresstyle Ice Skating on YouTube asides from standard movies, vlogs and tutorials. Although it’s a huge amount of work and occupies most of my free time and money, I love what I do and it´s absolutely worth everything it costs.
This is my passion, my dream, my life-goal, and even if I don’t make it as big as I hope, at least I am having a good time.
Feel free to follow my story on my YouTube channel and Instagram page. Your support is greatly appreciated and let’s how far it will go.
